In the Spring of 2018 I was looking a little cabin feverish. I volunteered for the most time intensive type of True/False Film Festival volunteer they offered - "Juggernaut".
A Juggernaut Volunteer at T/F works 40+ hours over the course of Fri-Sun documentary film festival in Columbia, Missouri USA. I thought with that period of time available and my skills I could do my part. Over the course of the 6-days I served (pre-T/F and during) I completed 22 assignments, edited 400 images and walked 33 miles.
Assignments included; student assemblies with the director of "Primas" ("Cousins") and the two subjects of the documentary about sexual abuse, student film making seminars, student creative writing seminars, directors talking about why they made their film and general festival images. As the last film began I began to cry. It was over. from this solo mountaintop experience how do I describe this? Walk with me ..
